I'm meeting a girl for drinks on Friday that I met on Craigslist. We're both cheating on our long-distance significant others and the desire for a random, private, secret FB is what brought us together. As such, I'm relatively worried about LMR and ASD. I'm a good-looking guy, I know how to game venues and I'm confident, but I'm a little pudgy and still a tad self-conscious of it when I'm not in state. I'm worried she's going to use my pudge as an excuse to bail out on this and stay faithful to the ol' BF.

We're getting happy hour drinks. Logistics are taken care of. I'm just really not sure how to treat this since it's not on the traditional ladder at all. Do I act like she's already mine? It's an awkward situation since I feel like the entire reason we're meeting is so that I can convince her I'm not a creep... usually I take care of that way more subtly (probably before I even start gaming a girl) you know?

Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated.

I know this is probably not the answer your looking for but from what your saying your problem is not just meeting up this one girl. The real problem with you is the mindset you have. You look at it as if you HAVE to do something to make her like you. If your coming in with such mindset your already starting negatively because you will subconsciously always be under pressure thinking the whole time if you did the right thing. You have to really change your mindset. The way to do it is by implementing 2 things 1) Mindset 2)Taking Action(Experience). Your mindset with this girl and with any other should be I don't care what happens. Don't give a shit about what she will think or about what other will think but rather just think about what you yourself will think. Yes you will fail many times but with each time you'll become better and more confident. Also, if your a good looking guy or any kind of looking guy why in the world would you be on craiglist. There are over 3 Billion girls on this planet so there not so scarce. Most guys have no idea about the PUA community and suck with girls, so take advantage and go get em. Good luck!
