I met this gal about a month ago, using probably my smoothest approach and number close ever, at a bar/live music hotspot.

We meet for the classic casual coffee get together a couple weeks ago; we end up at a bar making out like a couple of school kids. I've maintained a coquettish, cocky/funny routine throughout.

she texts last week after i ask her to "tag along shopping" with me (mistake?). she replies days later that she would "love for me to take her to dinner". I replied "El Presidente didn't make such an offer" (i've got a freaky thing going with her where she works for the "president's club" at her job, and i'm the "prez" - established my upper hand)

We talked on the phone late last week. I teased her about taking me on a date and agreed we would get together later this week.

I know the rules. no dates. no money spending. I dig her. She's a 9.5. inviting her over for a movie or me making her dinner is a not so subtle way of telling her she's gonna get banged and I don't like it. This chick wants a dinner date!

What to do?

What's wrong with a dinner date. That's great she wants to spend quality time with you and she's comfortable enough not to worry about being bored and stuck there.

I feel like I'm being a chump, giving up power, letting her essentially direct me to take her out and (implied) spend money on her.

I think ONE dinner date is okay for a 9.5 don't you? Remember, you can always re-establish dominance after/during dinner. Sure, the 'act' of going out for dinner lowers it, but you have the rest of the night to reassert yourself.

Right after dinner, try saying something like "I'm heading back to my place to watch my favorite show/movie XXXX, you can come if you like"
