Personally I would hold off for an extra day or two on the text. Also if you have a different photo or an inside joke you two had, send her that photo or inside joke as a picking up point. Sample dialogue could be "was scrolling through my phone and saw this photo (send her the photo) look how cute we are." Or if you have an inside joke "was talking to my friend and he said (something related to the joke.) and I remembered that joke and started laughing." Then progress from there. That way it's bolder than a standard "hey"

The reason I asked about the routine v natural was any advice I could give could be better tailored towards that.

You're so right. I just found out that this HB9 I met last year assumed I wasn't interested in her, while she was in me. Actually I was interested in her very much, I just never had the balls to start doing heavy kino on her. She just told me a week ago that she was interested in me (now she as a bf), so I learned it the hard way.
