Situation: Friend from freshman year of university, haven't talked to her in about a year. heard she is recently single, so i messaged her about some end of college events we have coming up.

Oh gosh I did not think the spacing would be so horrific. Sorry to anyone that reads that line of messaging. It is painful on my own eyes.

I think its kinda solid. Your not too pushy and offered her some value. Doesnt sound needy to me. However when she asked you like "HB9:no idk any ppl who are !" You let yourself pull into her frame ... last time I replied to some girl I do know:

It worked out fine for me.

However the rest is quiete solid. Plan a cocktail date or such with more ahead later on in the evening. Date, talk, Kino and escalate.

Pretty solid. One trick I learnt is never to be the last to text. For eg, there's no need for a "won't. Ciao" since you both alr said ttyl. Just another way you can demonstrate non neediness.

Personally, right now I think you're in the friend zone or very close to it. Her over use of words like "man" and "dude" is the kind of thing I only see from girls when they're friends with a guy, or guys say to other guys. This "aw fulton" would send alarm bells ringing for friend zone if this were me, you're being 'sweet' and we all know where being 'sweet' gets you (unless you have mad game in other areas). To me this comes across a bit needy. The 'while you still look the part' I think saves you a bit here as an easy neg so props for that, but for me it's just a bit too obvious that you're trying to get with her. Having already invited her somewhere and she's flaked saying she "thinks" she has plans tomorrow, I'm sorry but, MOST people tend to know what they're doing tomorrow, especially if it is particular plans, this is very vague and I think she's just making an excuse here dude and a poor one at that.

I don't think this is dead in the water by any means but I think you need to detach a little and make her work for you more. Very interesting though!
