Been getting along with a girl I've known since September very well recently. I went to a party at her flat a few weeks ago, and she loved the banter I was giving her about having 'provocative shoulders'. Was dancing with her last Thursday, and had her chasing me round the club telling me how I had her dying of laughter. Went for the hand-squeeze test, and she squeezed back twice, but I didn't go for the kiss, got no idea why - feel a right idiot now! On Monday, I ended up chatting to her again at length, but she thinks I'm only trying to pull her to get to her mate, whom she knows I used to fancy, and won't believe I don't have feelings for any more. I was pretty drunk on Monday, and made a few mistakes - used the lipstick-on-teeth neg for the second time on her, which was picked up on, and then Snapchatted her a picture of me lying in bed with the girl I eventually slept with that night, captioned "Could have been you! #satisfiedcustomer".

I do genuinely quite like her, but haven't spoken to her since Monday night now. Obviously with Valentine's day approaching, I'm thinking of how to use this to my advantage: if she thinks I'm still after her mate, getting her a Valentine's card, but not her mate one might start to disarm that thought.

We're at a relatively small university, and share many social circles, so she kind of has to talk to me to some extent! I'm invited to a party tonight that I think she might be going to, might try some tentative text game today
