I havent been on here for years but I thought I'd come back to ask this. I dont practice game alot but recently I have kind of been seeing this Irish girl (I'm English btw but this isnt important). We went for drinks in a pub a couple of times and Cinema. Then after last time I saw her I text her and kind of awkwardly asked her if we are seeing each other now? like I wanted to ascertain what this thing was that we actually had going on.

Anyway, this seemed to scare her off because now shes text me saying she thinks its best if we just leave it and be friends, she says its because things are getting really busy at work (shes a teacher) so she needs to concentrate a lot on that. So since then I thought it best to not bombarded her with texts or beg her to take me back etc. But I just want to text her later on in the week to let her know that Im cool with just being friends or whatever. but i do still want to see her sometimes atleast. I dont want her to have palmed me off with the 'lets just be friends' and then never see her again. Any ideas?

Move on. It's for the best.
If you're stubborn, friendzone her, take some time (a week or so) reinitiate contact because none of it affected you and treat her like you would any other friend. 'Women like to be desired' as Mark Manson would say, if they don't feel desired they'll want to be. I naturally got out of the friendzone just by not giving a damn anymore.
If you're doing it for the end result, you'll fuck it all up, women are intuitive they will smell your needy intention.

Don't rule out moving on, or keeping your priorities on better things.
