When to confirm date with her

Asked this gal last night to accompany me to an art reception at a local gallery. It’s this Saturday so I was wondering when I should confirm the date with her. Should I call or text?

If you call, make it simple and sweet:

"Hey I'm on the way to another meeting and didn't want to kill myself texting you. You good for tomorrow? Ok, cool I'll see you at 7."

Is what it should sounds like.

If you text, make it simple and sweet:

"So I'll see you at 7 tomorrow (emoticon)"

And then it should be pretty simple back and forth.

I text before the meet up telling them to do something cute and specific, thats confirming their timetable without raising DLV issues

If its at night text her in the morning "just letting you know ill be 5-10 minutes late. When I pick you up."

If its at lunch or breakfast text the night/day before.

I love the I'll be a bit late line and use it all the time. I generally text either the day before or the day off to confirm and then do the I'm running a bit late shortly before the date as another source of confirmation and to see if she is running late so I don't arrive on time to wait around like an idiot for 15 minutes.

She's going to meet me there instead of me picking her up. Should I call her to confirm and also to tell her I'm going to pick her up at her place?

The point is to give her a chance to flake. Logistics don't really matter.
