| hey everyone, been a while since i posted here, hope everythings all going well! now i just wanted to pick you guys' brains about a little situation ive got going on at the minute since im just shocking at stuff like this.
well the last time i posted on this site was a few months ago and it was really for advice on how to salvage my relationship before. there was a great many responses but unfortunately, it was out of my control and as you can guess, it ended (by text, no less). okay so i went out with the intention of meeting a few new people, which went fairly well and i ended up with a few more numbers on my phone. However, its important to recognise what i want is not a one night stand or anything like that, but more like a relationship. okay that may be important.
Anyway, so i met a good few people but theres one girl who i definitely like more than the rest and i definitely intend on pursuing something with her. Okay so i had no trouble opening and we started off well, talking quite a bit. Got her number, and initially she would text me first thing in the morning, ring me up out the blue etc which was all good. I have a music show coming up and she has said a few times she really wants to come to it. i speak with a fairly thick accent and she will sometimes call me and put me on speakerphone so all her friends can hear, that to me suggests she might be thinking about me and feel the same. Now the main reason my last relationship faltered so badly was because of how clingy i acted and it ended up overpowering so ive made a point not to do that again. ive been flirty without being a sex pest, and just not being too much of a "nice guy" but just being cool.
However heres the issue. In the last literally 2 or 3 days ive noticed a marked difference in how she has been acting and im definitely sensing mixed messages. Okay so contrasting to the behaviour i spoke about above, she now doesnt reply to my texts as often. She now seems to be making excuses to not talk now, albeit she does text me telling me why, rather than just not hearing from her at all. she seems to just type one word answers and not really engage properly, like whereas before it would be all smiley faces and stuff, now she just tends to write one word answers or just put things like "ahh i see". difficult to read because i dont know if shes just had a rough day, if shes bored with me, or like someone else said, if this is some sort of test i dont know.
now this raises a few questions and any tips would be greatly appreciated. firstly, since she isnt texting first any more, should i message her first? bear in mind that the last 3 or 4 times i have messaged her first there hasnt been a reply and i dont want to look like the kind of clingy guy whos texting her every day and wont take the hint. On the other hand, i dont want her to well...forget about me! if i stop texting her for a week, then thats a whole week when im not on her mind and shes liable to be chatted up by other guys. there needs to be a balance but maybe one of you lads could give me a bit of help.
