So I approached this blonde 8.5 after school yesterday. She was kinda shy, wasn't all that that talkative, but she was pretty cool and laughed at my corny jokes... did I mention she was hot?

Anyway, long story short. I #closed, sent her a text and she responded. I found out that she's the intellectual type (kind of a smart ass), a book worm, not the partying type but seems fairly open minded.
I later suggested a follow up. With our terrible school schedules, we don't have much time for each other and she's busy this weekend. So we agreed to next weekend... or more like me saying "I'm taking you on a date next weekend" lol (She agreed though). Anyway, my problem now is keeping her hooked before the date. Yes, I can wait it out and do nothing, but this will increase the chances of her flaking. I want to build anticipation. So what I can do beforehand? Play a texting game, send her random facts/statements, what? How should I handle this type of girl? what else can I talk to her about? I never dealt with a book worm before and I'm just average in the intellect apartment LOL. Any advice?

Side story. I passed one of her shit tests. I said to her that she was gorgeous and I know "swag" when I see it. She responded "Did you know swag used to mean gay?". I responded with "Well sure. You like men don't you?". She didn't respond back for a minute but ended up saying "yes I do".

When is the date exactly? Did you agree to a time/day/location? That's your first priority. Flake rights are much higher when nothing is set in stone.

We just agreed to see each other next weekend (which she suggested) since we're both busy this week. But I didn't set a specific day on the weekend or a location, which is actually why I wanna keep her hooked until then and yes, actually set things in stone.
I'm actually gonna tell her that it'll just be a meet up (Day 2) instead of a date. Much more spontaneous and less pressure. Plus, she doesn't deserve a full on date from me yet.

Thanks for your input.

I'm in a similar situation in which I scored a day 2, but for a week from the day I asked. I also wasn't sure what to do.

Basically, I continued talking to her as usual, and today I asked her to lunch for tomorrow so we could discuss our plans. She said that she was excited about the day 2 (it's next Sunday), and that while she was kind of busy during the time slot I suggested (only free time I have tomorrow) she'd try to find time to meet up.

I'll post how it goes tomorrow, but basically I just continued talking to her and worked in another small, low-key day 2 in the interim.

Maybe try the same?
