Can someone analyse my approach? Tell me where I can improve on. Don't hold anything back because I need to learn to not give a shit.

One situation was:

She was running to meet her friends in college, and I stopped her and said she looked exactly like that girl in twilight, (she does). She started laughing so hard and I just laughed along and went direct and said "Look, I thought you were really cute, had to stop and say hi.. blabla".

She told me she was meeting her friends and I said playfully "Let me guess, Jacob and Edward?" *Twilight joke* I also gave a time constraint saying that I had to go meet a friend for lunch soon. So we were walking to her friends table and I was being polite and acknowledging her friends, and including them in the conversation. I kept it light and fun and i broke rapport at a peak. I said "I gotta go get my lunch but before I do, we should keep in contact. What is ur #?" and i jet.

I texted her later saying "You should definitely run around campus more".
HB: "ahah why?"
Me: if u didnt, this awesome asian guy wouldnt have approached you today right?"
HB texted back with a photo, she was giving me the finger.

I don't understand. It was fun vibes all around when I met her. When I texted, she gave me one liners and that photo of her flicking me off. I tried to not take this personally and just texted "cute :)" and she hasnt replied since. That was 2 days ago. Did she just tell me to Fuck off??

Girls have bad sense of humor so she might off thought that it was funny. I don't think she was serious with the picture but rather sarcastic. Just text her something funny again and see how and if she responds to it and with what vibe. Make it an open question though so she has to respond. If she doesn't you know enough

It may be just me but I thought her reply was pretty funny! I like girls like that! You should of sent her a photo right back!

For instance type "You are a..." then send a photo of a spoon or a photo of your ass

Not sure the situation between the OP and the HB is "sexually-charged" enough but I would have sent a photo of me having a "Eureka!" moment and text saying "You're into fingers, got it!"
