Let me preface this by saying I have been out of the community for way too long. Was in a LTR that just ended etc. etc. Needless to say my cold-approach game has gone un-practiced for far too long.
That being said, it feels great to be back although I have to say it's been rough getting into it again (LTR really put my game off).
I recently had a few successes number closing a few ladies. On one such occasion I was in a small cafe enjoying a meal and "working" next to a good looking girl. Opened her easily, casually joked for a few minutes etc.
I waited a day and then texted this girl my favorite after-pickup text. ...AAAAND no response. At first I thought damn! This girl must be cold as ice! After thinking through my mistakes, I realized the biggest mistake that I made with this one almost guaranteed a flake.
ALWAYS build up enough comfort and rapport before you even THINK about texting your pick-up. The number one reason for flakes is that they aren't comfortable enough with you to have a one-on-one date or be with you in a group. I should've locked in by joining her table, and chatted her up for at least 5- 10 more minutes before asking for her number and leaving. You have to discuss similar interests, world views etc. to build some connection.
That being said, one of the best things about being just out of an LTR is that I really couldn't care less. I might shoot her one more text asking for a day two and then just call it quits and move on. There are literally women everywhere...if she doesn't want to respond then that's just fine with me. Never get too invested in one girl, they aren't worth the BS and there are literally dozens of women there to take her place.
Glad to be back in the community -Smooth
