| Hey all,
I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on this, no matter how positive or negative, as I like to see all angles and I don't get butt hurt easy. It's a semi-long story.
Recently broken up, I'm in college and have a class with this cute girl. We aren't really acquainted with each other, but after noticing her for about a month of eye-fucking me every time I turn around, I approached and #-closed on her on a Friday noon after class was over. The approach was good, she was smiling but I sensed that it was probably due to her being a shy girl. Before leaving, I negged her about giving me a fake cell number so I called her right then and there. I have her number and she has mine.
Three days later on Monday evening, I give her a call. Rings like 6 times, goes to voice-mail and I don't leave a voice message. I expected this, no problem. On Wednesday afternoon, I sent her a text and a convo went like this:
Me: OMG all the sexy looking people are being kidnapped by aliens! You'll be safe, I'm just texting to say bye.
4 mins later
Her: WTF?? Who is this??
14 mins later
Me: I'll give you a call on Friday, Sherlock Holmes, if you haven't figured it out by then.
11 mins later
Her: Um please don't. I don't talk to creepers.
At this point, I kinda chuckled at it and stopped texting. Friday comes, I originally planned to talk to her AFTER class, but she sits closer to the exit than I do so by the time I even get up, she's already disappeared. I could've ran after her, but I didn't want to look needy. So two hours after our class was dismissed, I call her phone. As I expected, 5-6 rings and it goes to voice-mail and I leave a message like this:
Me: "Hey badass, this is ____, from your favorite class, Organic Chemistry. Call me back and we'll do some chit-chatting. Alright, bye!"
Initially, I felt real positive about this, but after a buddy of mine pointed out a couple of red-flags, it got me thinking a little. Now, I understand women have their little rules as guys do about returning calls. Still, I think perhaps I misread her signals and I was just something cute to look at while she passed time in boring chemistry class.
