Is it a mistake to get a girls number but not give her yours straight away?

The last 2 weeks I have gotten 5 numbers, but I never gave these girls mine. So when it comes to sending the first cocky funny text, the flow is interrupted by me having to say who I am, sometimes making the text seem too long.

I k-closed a girl at a club (first time I have ever kissed a girl in a club!) 2 nights ago that I want to text possibly tomorrow, is there a way to send the first text without directly telling her my name and potentially breaking the humor?

Or should I just say who I am at the end/start of the text and not worry about it?

in order to have a solid number close, at the point when you get a girl's number make sure to miss call her at that time so that she gets your number. as you're putting her number in your contact list, tell her that you're going to nickname her (relevent to the conversation). when you make the first contact after you get her number, start off the text saying her nickname e.g. Hey Ms Phish Face lol. therefore when she sees the nickname she'll remember who gave her that nickname so that you dont have to make her try to remember who you are. it's a DLV to try and make a girl remember you. if she doesnt or is having difficulty trying to remember you, it means that you didnt make enough impact or impression for her to like you so much. also you could put your first name at the end of the first text, sometimes girls remember names as well as faces.

Yeah I have done the nickname thing to one of these girls, but I didn't think of it with the girl I k-closed. It makes a lot of sense now to do that, thanks.
