I'm a college student and kinda broke. My parents aren't rich so I can't afford to have smart phone. These days, if you don't have a smart phone, your living in the past. Even iPhone commercials suggest that if you don't have a smart phone, you suck. There are some girls I want to number close, but I am embarassed to pull out my phone. So I want to know what techniques or closes do you guys use so that you can close effectively without pulling out your own phone.

the routine i use it not giving a crap...

I pull out my battered Sony Ericsson, even give it to them and get them to type their number in.

I've had 1 girl make a joke and I just went with it " yeah you should see my VHS collection"

Yeah Smart Phones are cool, but they only matter if you let them matter.

Alternatively you could memorize their number, tell them you dont have yours on you and get them to prank you (make sure its on silent if you wish to make that lie work)

My favourite was having a cool hankercheif in my blazer or waistcoat pocket on a night out, make sure my number was written on it. Because it woulf be cool a girl would try and take it. I would make her promise to ring/text my number on it if I let her have it...
