I got into the hottub with a buddy of mine and simply just talking. About 5 minutes comes by and a HB9 comes in. She sits beside me and faces away. I start talking to some others in the tub about where some of them are from and establishing that I'm the alpha of the group.

So I notice she is turned away ( from everyone really ). I think I have to go indirect approach here. So I say 'I bet you everyone in this tub is not from the area originally'. One by one, people state where they are from. So the HB9 looks back with a guilty smile.

Me - Oh, you are from here?
HB - Yes
Me - That's it, get out of here... you don't belong in this tub.
HB - *giggles*

I ask her where she is from (Yes, not a good question but I felt it made sense here) and we go into a conversation. I neg her on not traveling as much and telling her some stories on areas I've visited. We talked about a number of topics and I felt I was really building comfort. She's smiling, turning more towards me.

Eventually I start thinking about taking the next step because she seems comfortable. Unfortunately, her cell rings across the tub and she walks over to pick it up. At this point I'm trying to think of a place to take her (hard to instant date in the tub and I didn't have my phone with me to take her number). But regardless, she gets up and heads out still talking as if she was in a hurry. As she walked out and stopped her call, waved to me.. smiled and said 'see you around'.

I wanted to get a day 2 or at least number close, but things fell short. Lesson learned -> Go After It! Any opinions?

ooh, that sucks, i think that there was nothing you could do though, even if you did it perfectly, trying to get her then would have been creepy, even so, great job.
