| I've gotten one-itis for this brilliant girl that I've known for a while as a friend and now it feels like it's time to close or move on.
So this is what I did, as I said we've been hanging out as friends for a while with some light flirting the last week or so. Last time I ran into her it was by accident and we were both heading in different directions so I told her we had to meet sometime without any time restraints because for the last couple of times either me or her has had other plans later the same day, we're both kinda busy people. Anyway her reply to this was something in the lines of "yeah, maybe get drunk together or something".
This was last thursday. Today(tuesday) I sent her the following text:
"Hey, how about we try to meet up some night without time restraints but with some wine? This week is pretty much impossible for me, but how about some time next week?".
The thing about me being crammed for the rest of the week was actually true, but I also think it added a nice touch of value to yours truly. Ok, her answer to this was:
"Hi. Absolutely, next week might work. Let's decide more definitely later this week. ((Hug))."
The hug was a nice surprise cause we've texted before and she usually doesn't finish with a texthug, since this was the first text I've sent that was slightly suggestive I take that as a pretty nice IOI.
So my gut feeling is that it's pretty much on, there's just a couple of things I wonder/worry about that you guys might be able help me sort out.
First of all do you agree that this is an almost done deal?
Second, her answer is kinda ambiguous and vague, I write this off as her trying not to seem too interested, am I naive in doing that? Is she actually blowing me off in a polite way since we're friends?
Also, should I have waited 'til the end of the week before trying to set up a date since I couldn't meet her until next week? I felt it sort of backfired when she didn't suggest a day when we could meet. How should I move on from here?
And out of curiousity, what do you think of my text in the first place, should I have played it differently?
Always nice to get someone elses perspective on these things. Hope I can get some input from you guys. _________________ "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."
