Dude just chill out! you know you could of got her and you have learned the importance of closing. To me that is a good night! there will be plenty of opportunities in the future to pull many many other chicks. And if you see her again you might even get another shot at her.

For me kiss closing is about teasing. Build up attraction by being social, ignoring on and off, teasing, triangle gazing whatever you use to make her hot. Then swing in and out, touch her face like you're gonna kiss her, move in then tell her something in her ear. Depending on how much attraction there is you can probably tell her you'll make her wait for it.
But my personal stuff aside the kiss close is about getting kino enough to be close enough to pull off the kiss then go for it, during a pause, after heavy eye contact, mid sentence, whatever.
Something my roommate does a lot is to tell a girl to kiss him on the cheek after whining about how hot she is, then turning his head to kiss on the lips instead, works for him all the time. Go for it really, not technique as much as it is guts I feel.
