So I get the # of this very attractive waitress, and we exchange a few texts (I tried calling her but she would always text me back) and agree to do something on her off day, but when the day comes she semi-flakes. Eventually I start to stop texting her. Anyhow the other day I'm in the mall where she works (I live right next door) and bump into her while she was going up the elevator and I was going down, I just touch her briefly and smile so that she sees me, and she smiles back and goes "Oh, hey" looking surprised, but I don't make any attempt to talk to her or chase her. The next night she sends me a text, "Good night ," which I don't respond to.

Two days later (today) we have a text game. (first part courtesy of texting thread)
Me: Stop it
Her: Stop what?
Me: Stop thinking about me and smiling:)
Her: Haha...Ur so... funny

Anyhow about five hours later

Me: Hey let's do something tomorrow after you work or Monday let me know which.
Her: Ok..on mon. nyt...but i have my company that ok?
Me: I don't understand you are bringing people? Girls or guys?
Her: Yup...Boys and girls.
Me: No you just hang out with them then I will just see you at your Restaurant if I decide to eat there.

and she doesn't respond.

Basically it is very common in this country for a girl to bring one or two of her gf's on a first date w/a stranger, as she often will not completely feel safe, which I would have been ok with. However since I absolutely have to treat at these places (beer costs $2 at most places and this girl probably makes $200-500/month) I am not cool with treating a whole group to a party, even if the total money is not that much, simply out of principle. I think I had to get the message of the last text I sent across but the wording I did it with was a bit harsh. Any thoughts to how I could have done this?
