I met the girl of my dreams and Im doing damage control. Its damn complicated.

1 1/2 years ago I met a girl at a quaint neighborhood pub. Talked all night had an amazing conversation, found out we have a lot in common. She was clearly into me, I was with all my cool friends, had tons of social proof. She was excited to give me her number. The following week we texted back and forth talked on the phone a little bit. I had the stupid idea to play the game and tease her way via text how her grad school isnt as good as others in Chicago. She got pissed, and never talked with me again.

I ran into her at the gym tonight. She had a huge smile on her face, acted like she was happy to see me. Remembered my name after all that time. We had small talk, then I asked her if she played volleyball cause I play with friends and we could use another girl. She said, "she was going home for a couple months this summer and that wouldnt work out, but maybe when she gets back". That was about it. We said bye, then she left.

I need to make things happen with this girl. I still have her number. Here is my thought, send her a text message saying the following or facebook her or both!????

A while back I know I seemed like a real dick. Could I have another shot at being your friend? Notre Dame then grad school is incredible! Congrats!

Sounds like you had a chance, and blew it a year ago. A chance meeting at the gym isn't going to change anything, and the best advice I can give you is to move on. Sorry man

I think you got a chance it doesn't mean you should now think and try to game only her...
But it does mean that I think you should try to do something about it.
If she goes for the summer so you can't really do anything at this time...

But you can talk to her over the phone and please for your own sake don't bring what happened 1.5 years ago up and apologize it won't do you any good.

Just say something like "Hi how are you doing? we have not talked for a while... just calling to say hi" and try to understand when she will go and when she will come back and if you can meet her you can say "you know what? there's this movie bla blabla would you like to come with me?" or something like "you know... we should get together sometime I wonder if you're more cute than you used to be (smile while you say that cuz people can hear your smile over the phone)"
