i just met a girl and we talked a bit, and i left her hanging at the bar with only a first name since i had somewhere to go. i knew i'd be able to continue to keep in touch since my friends were friends with her. i started to talk to her on fb and got her number. now im lost....

my text went :

me: what are you up to?
her:just making lunch at the sorority house. what about you?
me:class in 15 min. i didnt know you lived at the house! do you like it?
her: yea its a lot of fun! really gonna miss it when i graduate. do you live in the house? (frat house)
me: no, too many distractions. do you have any plans friday?
her: omg im so sorry but i really gotta focus on my midterm : p
me : oh whens your midterms?
her: i have one this friday and another next friday
me: bummer. but thats a week apart, cant even have one night of fun? lol let me know if you change your mind.

and then no response ... is this is a lost cause now? did i already mess up with the last text? any help or hope left?

She probably got busy or something or it's most likely that she didn't really want to say "No" again or continue with the conversation...

Your texting should've been more like:


You: Let's do something on mmmm... friday, I know this cool place that I'd want to check out and you'd probably be free on the end of the week.


The above shows you're "direct" and don't care if she declines and it would also give her options to reschedule too!

if she said she's got midterms, ask her more about that..
Eg:


Her: OMG, I'm so sorry but I really gotta focus on my midterm
You: Oh yeah, I hated studying for midterms hehehe.. What are the subjects you got?
Her: Chemistry and Math, I know they're hard!
You: Yeah, when are they scheduled?
Her: I have one this friday and another next friday


and YOU stop it right there! She'll message you back if she's interested and I'm sure she'd indirectly hint you on a reschedule like "I'm free next Sunday".
You can't force her and broadcast to her that you really need to meet her like you did.

Show it to her and let her chase you Follow that, that's the recipe [/b]

Call her after a day or two or after her first midterm test and and ask her how it went and tiny details on that, talk about other stuff and make yourself interesting to talk but don't overdo it. If you want to take her for drinks or food, talk about food or you could go to a mall, so talk a little bit about clothes/brands and but this time, say "oh you know, we should go there, let's do it on this weekend... (make sure to say weekend)" Wait and watch what she says and in most cases she'd agree/she'd let you know about it. If she sounds negatory Eg: "Oh I'm busy this weekend", "I got other plans", "My mum won't let me go out", "I'm meeting my best friends and I meet them every weekend"
So you know these are signs of disinterest but if she chooses a later date then it's fine.

If she sounds like any of the above, don't ask her again and wait for her to call you back.
How would you do that?
Simple, be the first one to end the conversion on the phone "hey I gotta go now, I'm late for xyz, let me know!"
If she doesn't call you back ever again, it means you need to go find other chicks to hit on.

so i shot her a text and were going to eat after her midterm later today. i tried to make it seem like i didnt need to see her, but hopefully i can close or create a great rapport.
