Umm I dont really want to say this but I am curious.

I hooked up with a chick and at some point I opened my eyes and looked around while kissing. I seem to catch myself and close them again...

Does anyone else have their eyes open sometimes when they kiss or is it just me?

I've done it a few times, and I can only offer this: DON'T DO IT. I can remember two distinct times where the girl noticed it (once with an LTR, once on a day 3), and both times the girl freaked the fuck out... The problem is that it either looks like you're some psycho that's staring at them, or you're clearly disinterested. Either way, it killed the mood for me both times, so I've got into the habit of keeping my eyes shut, or if I really need to look around, stopping the kiss first.

Yeah, I'm gonna say we've probably all done it.. if you end up catching yourself opening them, don't let her see! like rigoberto said she'll "freak the fuck out" more than likely

yes i used to do this on my first kisses. basically people do it because they are either nervous, or anxious. its a self comfort thing. they do it because they want to know what is around them - its like a guard if you understand me. but seriously it shows a lack of confidence. her friends will see you with your eyes open and tell her about it. not good friend. even worse - if she has her eyes open - even for a split second - to see if your eyes are open (most girls do it) then you lose most of the connection that you have built.

Seriously. I think a good piece of advice is "Don't be weird."

Opening your eyes when kissing a girl is very weird. Have you ever seen anyone do this in a movie or TV show? If you have, it was likely followed up by something bad (not to say that TV or movies are a great place to source reality, but in this case it applies.)

Just don't do it. And let us never speak of this again.
