So my job requires me to move around a lot and I've ended up in a small city in the South (about 200,000 people). I'm used to college towns and big cities, where I do really well, but does anyone have any advice for smaller cities?

I know a lot of people. And it's very hard here to sleep with, date or even talk to a lot of girls without getting a reputation. So what to do?

I asked around on the forums about small cities and being judged. The general consensus was: stop giving a fuck. Provided you're not treating girls like shit, you're leaving them better than you found them, and you're not lying to their faces- there is nothing wrong with sleeping with a lot of girls.

Sex is a natural healthy thing. And having a reputation as a man who sleeps with a lot of women will actually help you. It tends to filter out girls that are less confident and sexual.

Thanks for the lead on the other post; I'll look it up. I wasn't too concerned with getting a bad reputation because I make sure to leave girls better than when I first met them, but it seems like girls in this city are really closed off to 'outsiders.' It's almost like breaking into high school cliques. I mean, girls here flock to the drug-dealer-on-parole that grew up down the street from them, but if you're not from the local area, they indiscriminately set up a really strong bitch defense. The irony is all the friends I make here (guys and girls) aren't from here originally and they've noticed this issue too. Is this normal for smaller cities?

It really does depend on culture man. But if you're new in the town you have a great opportunity to start building your social network, meaning more new experiences with new people. A direct result of this- meeting more girls.

You also have a great reason for talking to people. If you struggle with AA all you need to be telling yourself is "I'm new in town, I'm making friends." Have a look at links below man, I don't know how closely linked they are to this thread but worth reading.
