| i have become pretty efficient at approaching people. i approached many, many sets last night between bands at this concert. anyway, i have found my problem. i need to work on my multi convo threads. the convo just dies out, after i get an answer or whatever from my opening, i fall apart. however, a set of 2 HBs did approach me later in the night, which was a def IOI. nevertheless, out of the convos i had, all of them ended the same. i need to start stacking my routines too..
a situatin of this..
i saw a few girls outside on the sidewalk as we were leaving, one of the friends was totally wasted and was with two more cute HBs..
Me: hahah is your friend cool/ (while i was ordering pizza on the phone)
HB9: yeah she's fine, what concert did you see? (seeing the X's on my hands)
ME: (on the phone) there is a 12 dollar minimun for delivery? fine i will have two 2 liter bottles of pepsi. (turning to the HB9) are you guys thirsty at all? (talking on the phone to the person now) tell your manager i think that 12 dollar mininum thing is bullshit! i don't even drink soda! haha.
HB: take a picture of us! (gives the camera to my hippie friend and i just stand there giving directions to my place on my phone)
The HB9 stood next to me, had a lotta shiny bracelets and shit, know any good negs for that?**
then the HB9s two friends started walking away, but the HB9 stayed right next to me and didn't realize that her friends were leaving. they were pretty far away when she noticed. after realizing her friends were gone,she then turned back, looked at me and smiled and said "bye" and ran off.
i think if i were better with my multi convo threads i could have pulled this off but didnt work out.. any tips on this kind of situation? this girl gave me three IOIs, proximity, EC and smiling, and her positioning was completely facing me, totally open... -Rye
