Hey guys...erm i dont have a car, so i have to ride the bus, which is abit dry, however it does provide a great opportunity to meet some chicks every now and then.
But heres my question, how would you approach and engage a girl in a fun convo on a bus? (FYI Ive tried Hello, how you doin, however this does tend to steer the convo to a halt and dry up pretty quickly)

one i tried the other day, which backfired, but I'm sure will work eventually. I was sat at the bus stop next to a great looking girl, she had her headphones in (like everyone at the bus does these days) and I heard her music a little bit, and pretending i recognized it, I steered my head round to grab eye contact and asked her 'what are you listening to?' She was a little bit weirded out so i clarified I thought I recognised her music. It can go a few ways from here

1. She's listening to terrible music, you tell her 'oh my god they suck!' and (in my case) she looks at me like im a dickhead, puts her music in and ignores me.
2. 'oh my god they suck!' gets returned with 'no they don't' thus starting a playful negging argument. Be ready to have some bands you like, when she asks you 'what do you listen to then?'
3. if the music is good, and you don't feel like you should neg her over it, say you like them and start a discussion on other music you like.
4. you don't recognise them, ask for a listen, she'll bring you in to listen to her headphone, bringing you cheek to cheek, once you listen you can then start a conversation/argument from there.

1. is pretty unlikely, i think she was just in a bad mood.
