While walking past an HB i touch her on her shoulder and say ..
me: where did you get those shoes?
hb:
me: there not bad i'd give them 7/10
hb: expresses discontent at the avg score
me:well what would you give mine, i think there an 8/10
hb: a 7/10
me: your just pissed i gave yours a 7! nice shoes are one of my three criteria! you wanna know the other 2?
hb:ok

I like how you demonstrated exactly 10% higher value lol.
Yes this appears to be good stuff, you got a non direct opener, a neg, and a nice segway to another neg if need be or at least a DHV. I especially like how you didnt say "excuse me" or "pardon me" before asking what kind of shoes she has. A real man would never excuse himself for asking someone a shoe related question.

This opener appears on Drake and Josh, when Drake bets Josh he can't get a date, and he starts approaching a lot of girls with this opener. Don't try it.

i think it comes off as too boring and just a pick-up line. but i never use canned opens so i might be wrong, i think most of them come off that way.

if i cant think of a funny observational opener, ill just introduce myself or say something outrageous.
