Some brilliant openers I saw in the movies. Never tried them tho.

Scent of a woman (1992)
"Would you mind if I waited with you, you know, just to keep the womanizers from bothering you?"

Lost in translation (2003)
"I'm planning a prison break. [describe plan how to leave the venue]. Are you in or are you out?"
This might work in dull places or with girls that seem bored.
