| Hey man, I agree with patranova for the most part but if its just a quick 2 minute conversation, regardless of whether or not you manage to number close, thats not enough time to build rapport and setup a day 2.
The opener is almost irrelevant, its all about body language and eye contact. So you approach a girl - with a good few paces between you both so she doesn't feel intimidated - look into her eyes and hold that eye contact, it conveys confidence and is so powerful. You must also have a certain energy about you and smile (but not a creepy fake smile)
You then might say something like, "hey, this is completely random, but can I tell you something really quickly [time constraint] (don't wait for an answer just tell her anyway), I was walking past and saw you, and would be kicking myself if I didn't come up and say... (pause for 2 seconds) .. I think you look great and I love your style..."
Then follow up with why you love her style, and give a genuine reason - this is where it become unique and specific to her so she knows its not just a rehearsed line.
Don't stay on this topic for too long though, try to move the conversation forward. At this point the biggest mistake I see people make is poor conversation skills and it starts to turn into an interview where they just keep asking questions. This is where you're likely to hear, "well it was great meeting you but I better get going" - for God sake do not ask her for her number if she says this, yeah sure she might give it to you, but only because you've put her on the spot. A day 2 will be almost impossible to setup from here. Good conversation consists of statements and questions. Make assumptions about her. Find something that interests her, and invite her to talk about it. Women love talking about themselves - its true!
Then after at least 10 minutes of conversation - but the longer, the better - make a connection with her, before number closing or even going on an instant date.
I'm a massive fan of Day Game, its so much fun and is a great tool for self improvement and confidence boosting. If you haven't already you should check out the daygame website. [Type daygame in google and its the top link]
Keep practicing though dude, if you get shot down use it as a learning exercise and get right back up and try again. The only way you get better is through practice.
Let The Game Begin!
