As I was walking back home from the gym today I spotted a perfect 10 walking down the street ahead of me. I approached her and instantly told her she was very beautiful and then went into a more general less direct opening asking for directions. I sometimes tell girls they are beautiful so that they don't misunderstand that I am only asking for directions, but that I am also putting a sexual twist on it.

However, I realize that telling this HB 10 that she was beautiful was a total fucking mistake. To my surprise, though, we ended up having an instant date. We went on a walk together and chatted. I thought the vibe was good, and only spent about 20 minutes with her. I cut the date short as to make it not look like I had a ton of free time or to seem overly interested. To my huge disappointed though, when I tried to number close her she gave me the typical lie that I often hear girls say:

HB: I forgot to bring my cell phone
Me: Oh, okay. Well, do you remember your phone number/email address?
HB: No, sorry, I just switched phones so I don't remember...

Total fucking lie, but whatever.

Here's my question: How could I have made this girl feel insecure and not as beautiful as she probably already knows she is, yet not make her feel bad while building attraction at the same time?

This is where a playful neg would have been handy.

"Hm, your hands are kind of sweaty. It's alright, you don't have to be nervous around me! "

HB10s should never get a compliment. I never compliment any girl the way you just did unless the circumstances dictate you should (Prom,etc)
I can see it with all my mates yelling ´Oh my you are beautiful´ and they never get further than that.
She used you for her confidence and then blew you off.

A neg would have been much much better.
