This just popped into my head today as I was walking down the street. I noticed hot girls always travel in packs for protection which is nothing new as it makes guys more intimidated to approach. I noticed however the ones that did not travel in packs were on their cell phones. Maybe subconsciously or even purposely they use the phone for protection to deflect the barrage of guys that come up to them. I dont know where I can go with this theory but im going to try and do some field research and see if I can't find something else out. This maybe be a dead end observation but I might warrant some investigation. Ill post my findings.

Im going to study their manor isms. Such as body language, gestures and type of conversation to see if there is any link between it and the personality of the girls. So hopefully in theory I will be able to find out what type of person the girl is solely by her actions on the phone. I will approach each girl after my observations and rate them on

Ease of opening 1-10
Attitude 1-10

Any other suggestions for what I should rate them on?
This is my first theory but I want to try it out.

If I'm by myself like a loner, I'll pull out my phone to make it look like I have a purpose for being there, or I'm actually doing something other than being a loner.

I imagine it's the same way for others?

Also, cells are a good escape tactic if they find a guy boring.

I can second that. I think somewhat subconsciously I feel like everyone's looking at me and if I have my phone out it looks like I'm not just there and like I'm popular or whatever.

I'm sure girls would be kinda shocked if you entered their presence, grouped or solo, with confidence. And to hold that confidence would be even more impressive to them.

you guys are right, everyone uses their cell phone when alone as shield, making it to look as if your waiting for someone and not looking like a loner. and your cell phone can even aid you to open, great multi-purpose. lol

That's actually not to hard to open someone who's been playing with their cell a lot. The ones who are on the phone are gonna be next to impossible because they won't wanna tell the person to wait while some unknown guy starts talking to them, but if they're just texting or keep checking the time and stuff like that its not so bad. Just walk up and ask if they've been stood up and they'll usually tell you what they're up to, from there you can come up with some cocky funny stuff to neg them more with as you've already negged them by implying they were stood up.

Well, even when in packs, they'll often use the phone defensively. If they're close to someone and feel uncomfortable, they'll pick it up to show disinterest and have him walk away. Same as looking at the watch.
