I've always had a problem with moving targets, it just never felt right, until the other when i seen this girl

'Excuse me, hiya i dont normally stop random people in the street, but i just had to talk to you, are you friendly? Good, you cant be too sure nowdays. so what brings you into town this (day)? Oh me, i came into town to meet you. No, its my mum's bday this weekend...'

Now i know its not perfect, it needs touching up. I could have transitioned straight into the bday opener, but you got any ideas?

Tonight, for the first time in my life I opened a set [in the street] with "Does everyone here eat tacos?", a ridiculous example given in the Magic Bullets book, but that gave me about 2 hours of conversation.

It's not about what you say but how you say it, man.

You could open with "Hey, do you know where ______ is?"
"Right on, I'm a tourist so when can you show it to me?"
She's gonna say a time and you just got yourself and instant date in less than a minute. =]

'HOW you say' i know heard it bizillion times.
Im not a believer that you could just say anything, maybe you can where your from, but not in my world.
I could'nt use those openers above, im not gonna say im a tourist when im blatently not and start off with lie. Also its just gonna come as a dodgey stopping a girl walking in the street at 12 in the afternoon asking if she likes tacos or burgers or something.
I've got select few for daygame but of all i find this sort of thing works best for moving targets.

It's been more than an year since I've been here but I will continue my thread.

Answering someone's question "What did you say after the opener?", the answer is: it doesn't matter.

What I said afterwards is irrelevant, the only thing that matters is the vibe and energy that you have going on with the person you opened.

I don't remember what I said (obviously, long time ago) but they thought my opener was so funny and out of the blue (does this opener make any sense? NO! That's why it's so funny) that the girls I opened immediately got a good vibe about our interaction.

The words don't matter, really. What matters is your vibe. Go in funny and confident and they will love you.

How could they not?
