Hey guys, I'm just starting up but I'm determined to be successful. I'm currently on a jobsite, but when I get back to civilization I have every intention of going out for some fun and try my hand at some basic principles for experience.
With that said, a friend of mine may or may not be coming with me. Regardless, I've been considering an opening I'd like an opinion on:
Approaching a small group (2-3):
(Me): Hey girls, to try to get me to meet people my friend (here) has dared me to approach all the cute people I see tonight and try to find one that can solve this *present the rubix cube*. You guys care to help me out?"
I would expect a number of reactions, such as laughing, comments about changing the stickers, and at least one of them likely giving it an actual shot.
(Girl): Can you solve it?
(Me): Yeah, but that's not the point.
(Girls): Prove it!
At this point if they legitimately don't believe I can they may make a bet, giving me an opportunity to up the ante, ex:
(Girl): If you can solve that, I'll buy you a beer
(Me): Alright, what about if I solve it in less than 2 min, do I get your number?
(Girl): *laugh* sure
(Me): What if I fluke and get less than 1 min? (My best time is 53 sec, they don't know that >:D)
(Girl): If you're that smart you're coming home with me tonight.
Most of that is potential example, but in any case what do you guys think? Potential? I like the idea of the rubix cube because in my experience it is an attention magnet, and it gives me a feeling of empowerment because it tends to amaze others.
