There is no harm in opening any set, only the opportunity of success, if she excuses herself then no big deal, open another set and continue

Just remember that when you do approach someone, it is typical that you are catching them off guard. I remember I approached this girl walking towards me pretty much right beside my house. I live in basically a student area with townhouses so anyone walking in there lives there.
I stopped just before we passed each other and said..
"Excuse me, do you live in xxxx?"
Her reaction included her eyes opening wider than Lindsay Lohan's legs.
The rest of the convo is irrelevant but I'd just thought I'd share that when you approach someone, especially if they are not used to being approached, you might just startle them a bit.
