Guys, there's a HB8 that works in my office but on a different floor. I see occasionally see her in the elevator.

We've made eye contact before and she has smiled at me. Does anyone have any openers for the elevator. It is difficult because the elevator usually has several people in there.

If you know someone else in the elevator start talking about your cute friend who once got stuck in the elevator and you .. and it was hilarious and .. add content here.When you're telling the story you could drag her into it , "You know , you kinda look like the girl I'm talking about' or start of with a neg 'You seem like a girl that would get stuck in the elevator too' or something along those lines. I've never opened with what you would call an 'elevator opener'.I would always go with the 'Hey how are you' then DHV and set time bridge , # close and I'm gone.

I'm usually in the elevator with no friends, I work in finance, everyone in my team is too busy working at their desk!

Would i come across strange if I got off at her floor stop and spoke to her outside the lift?

To me it would look a bit odd since you would initiate the chat once you get out of the elevator as if you were too scared to say something while other people were there.If you would talk to her any other place than the elevator it should look like a coincidence that she's there and you're there or just initiate the chat in the elevator with a comment on what she's wearing or such and you might be able to connect with her on a deeper emotional level since you both work at the same office so you could say something about a weird employee that she could be like 'Yeah that's so true' or anything like that , I think you get the idea.

We'll if she's smilling at you, IOI right there. So talking to her in a fun way would be easy.

Say something like "Hey, if we got stuck in the elevator, what games would we play to pass the time?" Do not say in a sexual way. And take it from there.

Dude!!! just say hi!!! lol, its dat simple. if she's already making eye contact for more than 5 sec and smiling. she's already showing ioi's. most women will not ever make the first move so something as simple as good morning or good afternoon, hi, hey how u doin (said in a friendly way while smiling). wait couple secs for a her respond/reaction. if everything goes good, if she gives u a smile or responds..then keep it goin, talk about something dat happened, maybe a hot current event topic. or stuff goin on in the building or anything that u both can relate to. and if she continues to open frm there then game it until ur floor comes up and number close, or u can play it smooth and end with a see you later, look her in the eye and smile or give a wink as ur walkin away. works all the time for me

i would say to her "if I smell a fart you're gonna be my first suspect"
