I am going out saturday and there is a higher little stage on the dancefloor (about 1feet higher). Only for 5-6 persons. Anyway, there is always girls on it. I rarely see guys. When you are on it, we can see you from the entrance so there is a lot of eyes on you. Maybe some people feel unconfortable about that.

Anyway my friend and I always go on it to pick up girls. That work very well, there is always a girl trying to go on it to dance. My question is, should I ask for girls to go on it with me?

I mean if I see a set of 2 attractive girls, it will be inapropriate to make them a sign to go with me and my friend on the stage? It worked for me a few times but with girls I already talked to.

You rarely want to flat out ask a girl to dance if you don't know her at all. Personally I hate opening on the dance floor because it is so difficult to talk to somebody in a club where every wall on the dance floor is basically another amp. I'm a fan of the just for fun dance battle, where you go for a couple minutes with a friend, because it draws a lot of attention if you have any idea how to dance. That's just me, and maybe you aren't a big dancer or just don't like the idea. Still, I would suggest talking to the girls and then deciding you want to dance. Even if its as simple as "this song is great, I think we gotta dance now and pick up the conversation a bit later," I can't see you just motioning to the dance floor and getting the girls to follow suit unless you're very good looking to begin with.

Honestly I don't see any problems with doing this. Try it out a bunch of times to get a good feel for if it works or if it doesn't.

Yeah, at the very least, you'll be gaining some quality social value. I enjoy using dancing as a pseudo-opener because, if you can surround yourself with girls, others will most definitely see that. I've had girls I hadn't even looked at before come up to me and "steal" me away from others.

Of course, if you're looking to close anything you definitely should spend some time together off the dance floor like Z-Wrex said.

There is my "field report"

I went for it. But I didn't try to make girls go up with me. I felt like if it will be weird. For your information, I am not a great dancer. I look just fine when I dance. I don't look stucked or shy so I think that helped me.

The night didn't start that good. There was police everywhere because of guys who were there to make trouble. I was not that confident because there way TOO MANY guys...Maybe arround 70% guys and 30% girls. But we went for it anyway.

I was on the stage with my friend. We don't look bad at all. We were on the stage for about 10-20minutes just dancing. Then, when the dancefloor started to fill up, a lot of girls was looking at us. When I was looking, I always got eye contact with some chicks. I saw a set of 4 girls. I got en eye contact twice. It was obvious they were looking at us. I ask my friend if it was just me or this group was checking us out. He told me that it's so obvious. So 2 minutes later, I got an eye contact with the same girl of the group. I smiled and kept the eye contact longer. She smiled back. 2 minutes later, she cames with one of her friend on the stage with us. We started dancing close, I think it was the hottest dance I had in my life. The song finished, I looked at the dancefloor, every girls was looking at us. It was ridiculous. My friend was freaking out because he didn't know why. After the dance with the 2 girls, our social value increase like hell. Not even 5minutes later I was dancing with another girl AND her friend. I felt like god. Then again, after that, 2 others girls jumped in and started to dance with us. That was too freaking easy. Then, one of my friend was dancing with a really hot girl. While she was dancing with him, she asked him if he knows me ( she pointed at me ). I took that like an IOI because why she will asks for another guy if she is dancing with one right now. I didn't try to do anything because she was older than me (seems to have arround 20 and I am 18, I felt intimated...and yes, I am serious. -.- ).

That happened in about 30-45min. We got to dance with a lot of hot girls. Anyway, the funiest/weird part came after that. We were obviously the guys of the night. Everyone was looking at us. There was a set of 4 girls. They were looking at us from the beginning but they didn't approach. When they saw that we surrounded by girls, 2 of them decided to approach. Then...at the last second, they went away. I felt like if my social value was so high that they didn't want to come with us. When they got back on their group, they looked at us for a long time.

Anyway, that night increased my confidence. Today on the bus and college I was smiling to a lot of girls and I got lot of smile back. The hardest part is now done I think.

I didn't close, but now I feel like approach girls is not that hard. The close part will be my next step for sure.
