Well, first, I can imagine opening like that only with a true british accent, because "Did you trick me?" is not a expression you hear very often
I am not sure it would work. Why?
So, you come to the girl, say that John will be here in a minute.
She will say "Tara? I'm not Tara..."
If you don't transition now, she will try to leave, and then your wing enters the set...but wait, wasn't he supposed to be late, so that is why he sen't you?
Also, doing favors for him and getting tricked by him lowers your value and shows his dominance over you.
Well, let's say that your wingman started gaming her. What will you do? Stand around? If you go away and come back later,it will be awkward for both of you.
There are two cases now:
1) Your friend is still talking to her
It is possible that his AFC style got her entertained, so in her eyes, his value is still bigger than yours. You will be his "little dancing monkey".
It would be very hard to game her, because she is interested in your friend. If he ejects, she will follow him.
2) Your friend went away.
It will be pretty awkward. " What is this guy doing here? Is his boring friend here again? He isn't goint to hit on me,isn't he? "
In this case, you MIGHT get her attracted, but it won't be easy..
Remember,if you introduce someone to a set,his value will directly effect yours.
So if he presents himself low-value, you will be presented that way too.
If you want to try something like that, send in your wing to open the set, let him game the obstacle, and then you get introduced to the set (he can DHV you), and let wing isolate the obstacle leaving you with rest of the set (works best in 2 sets) .
