People who have read my previous post know that I couldnt open to the Russian chick in my university. Tonight I went to the disc and noticed a HB7 chick, our eyes met and we passed smile, she kept glancing at me, but still I couldnt go and talk to her as she was with 7 guys and I fumbled all the openers.

I want to know is it normal and how to overcome this anxiety, this is killing me, I mean it pains a lot more when you have frequent eye clashes with the girl and still cant open!!

In the mean while, I memorized all the openers for the Russian chick, she came and stood next to me and all the words fumbled in my mind..and I ended up saying a maim HI..I dont even think that it reached her!! As always she walked away!!

Sounds pretty rough man. Seems like this fumble with the one girl is still racking your brain. Is this the only other time since "starting out" that you've failed at opening a set?

I recommend getting David Ds stuff... such as, Advanced Series, Deep Inner Game, and the Mastery Series.

yes it was actually for the second time since I started. But I am used to this before too, stares, glances then the girl goes her way and I go my way thinking that I will talk to her the next time..

Three second rule man. Approach her right away. It seems more natural that way. If not just wave. Say ""Hi" if nothing else. This will help you be more comfortable with approaching people. Do it more often than not and it really will become your natural way. Im in the chat right now if you wanna get up.

I agree. I used the 3 second rule to break my AA. It worked so well I find myself approaching people and saying hi for no reason at all.

You just need more field experience. Its great to have canned openers, materials and all kinds of inner game developed. But you need to practice in front of a live audience. The more you do it, the less anxiety you'll feel and the better you'll get it at it. You can't learn everything in a book, but its a fantastic way to start.

Its great to start off with canned material, bring a cheat sheet with you and refer to it in the bathroom if you have to. Eventually, after enough sets you'll be using your own material and having success beyond what you ever imagined.
