In my opinion this opener is great for larger groups of girls cause they will all get worked up about whether its your place to say something or not.

If they say yes you can say but I have known this guy my whole life.

If they say no they you can say you know what they mean but this is a womans life we are talking about and you dont like seeing people hurt etc.

This will DHV as you are showing that you are moral and treat girls with respect, but that you also understand friendships and the implications of your actions.

This opener is great as the conversation it sparkes can go for quite a while, also I have found that opinions vary widely and groups get into big debates about this. After such a discussion, it is easy to do the you seem evil neg or variences and you can judge a lot about the people by what they have to say on the matter.

Try to avoid using this on a group with guys in it. They are far too logical and will give you a well balanced answer almost immediately, which will enevitable solve the problem. Of course you can run the answer by the girls but this will show that you couldn't make your own mind up etc. Better to use on an all girls group.
