marriage as an institution is only 3000 yrs old...so I don't think its old enough compared to 3.2 million years of human existence...men did sleep with multiple women and procreate to get to the current world population of over 6billion from the mythological 'adam and eve'.

so I think all that religion preaches and code of ethics and laws related to adultery are all hogwash created by mankind for the better or worse.

that said I am down to two conclusions on this issue...
1. take the advice on not alienating my friend by indulging in sex with his wife
