i used this one and i got good response out of it!

i start by being like i just noticed them, and casually go for:
Me: hey guys, i need a female opinion on something!
Set: they look at me, some are just welcoming, some are confused, i just dont make a mental note of that so it does not effect me!
Me: why girls give so much attention to shoes? i mean,
Set: what do you mean?
Me: as of it counts in your scale of 1st impression on a person that you meet! (and here i use the word person not a guy)
Set: yes we do, no we dont, it's like this, it's like that, blah blah!
Me: because i just have this conversation with my sister about this topic, it's like i love to see things from a woman prospect, specially there's 3 billions of you on this planet, so i would care about how u see things...... a little bit though!

and then i go into a routine!


it seem to work!

Now that sounds like a winner. I am totally going to try this one out. Good Call.
