I thought of the following last night and successfully tested it out today at my local coffee shop. I sat down and started the NYT crossword. As usual, there were a few anwsers I could not get. Instead of getting frustrated, I casually approached the hot barista and CF handed her the puzzle saying, "I'm going to smoke a cigarette, I expect you have this finished for me by the time I get back." Upon reentering I ask If she's finished yet and depending on whether she's finished it or not neg her for being "the bookworm of the group" or "not as smart as the other baristas" to her coworkers. The point is to play off the bohemin intellectual vibe of the place. From here I cold read my handwriting saying something that innocently demonstrates higher value. "See how my "A's" blah blah... this means I'm blah blah. Let me see your handwriting" Cold read her...

At this point I had her attention hooked and even got invited behind the counter to look at something. At this point I wasn't sure where to take it, so I went back to my seat once I was sure she would miss my company.

Any suggestions or ideas where I could take this and a good way to phase shift into kino etc?
