Hey guys,

I've tried a few of these different openers, and no matter how you play them with my environment(fraternity parties), they come off as somewhat scripted. So I have two questions, does it really come off badly to just walk up and say "Hey, how are you doing"?

Tying into that, i've been thinking of combining the two, so something like this,

Me: Hey how are you doing?
Her: Oh hey i'm great how about you?
Me: Oh i'm great, having an awesome time!
Me(indirect opener): You seem kind of shy
Her: Oh really why/how do you figure?
Me: Well, i've been here talking to my friends for awhile, and you didnt come say hi to me

The only thing I could think of, is that it might portray me as trying to pick her up, or being needy, however, alot of the time, even at fraternity parties(i'm in one), guys don't just go up randomly and open girls, usually they are introduced and start talking that way. So in my opinion, I would think that she wouldn't even begin to think about the fact that i'm coming off as needy etc, and just be happy etc that I came up and cold approached her or her group.

Any thoughts?

In my opinion I dont see the issue with coming off as "trying to pick her up"...Whats wrong with trying to pick up a girl? Are we supposed to hide our intentions like we're doing something wrong?

Nah bra, go do your thing, if she thinks you're trying to pick her up great! It's a massive compliment that a guy like you would even consider "picking her up"...and as far as I've seen (mosty from personal experience)woman love to be picked up - especialy when its done well....

...Charm her, thats why we're called Pick-up artists

Yeah forsure dude, well in regards to my direct and indirect opener, do you think that'd work? Or would that not be a good opener?
