I agree with Methuselah and Sovnarkom. The point isn't just to be cocky and funny or interesting only during a shit test. It's about being that guy always. Even if it wasn't a shit test you could've replied with something more interesting. But, I think you're paying too much attention to it. I wouldn't think about it that much. Instead try to figure out what you did AFTER that that might be wrong and caused that kind of behaviour on her part. If you DHV'd threw a couple of negs and your game was solid it would be impossible for her to act like that. Even if you said "Sure" when she asked if they could join you. Just reading over your replies I've noticed no one has defined "shit test" for you.

For future reference a shit test is when the target says something to trip you up.

Ex. "I give great blowjobs", "Don't you think my boobs are nice?"

The only way out of one of these shittests is either with a very flat comment such as "Yea, they're ok." or "Cool." or if you can come up with a very smart comment such as if the HB says "Don't you think my sister is sexy?" a good reply would be "Beauty is common, personality is what defines who you are".
