OK, this one I literately thought up on the spot while I was out one night, (not really trying to game at the time, but had an inspiration come to me) used it on four separate HB's with great success.
I was out at a club seeing a friend who's at university, a well known British radio DJ (Zane Lowe) was doing a set, he's a very rock/indie based DJ so it was more like a gig than a club night. I'd turned up in polished shoes, a nice pair of superdry Jeans, white shite, black Polo Ralph-Lauren V-neck and huge Famous stars and straps watch (My only peacocking item that night!). I realised very soon after arriving most of the guys were wearing T-shirts/Polo shirts, leaving me feeling very overdressed!
This HB9 walked past me, and i just stopped her, said "Excuse me, quick question, do you think I look overdressed for this night?" She stuttered and said "Maybe a little, the shoes are a bit much, but you do look really hot".
Unfortunately my mate (from talking to her friend, he's in the game too) found out she had a boyfriend! Gutted. But tried the same opener with 3 other girls and got similar responses!

So from my experience this was a great opener, but is very specific, i.e. you have to be overdressed for an event!
This doesn't mean turn up to an obvious casual event in a full suit! Before anyone accuses me of false advice! But if you're just a little bit more well dressed than anyone else you can open with it, and 9 times out of 10, it'll be positive.
