I just came up with and used this today. It really helped build comfort and number closed a lovely little waitress at her work.

Any help tweaking it would be great. Tweak it however. The good thing is that it gets you and the hbs talking about their online profile and makes it an easy easy easy Facebook and number close from there.

I'd bring up the positives and negatives of adding if they don't have much to say.

For Instance

Pro: "He'd think I'm a friend so he'd like me more. (Raise!)"

Con: "But he'll also see pictures of me at parties surrounded by friends and with members of the opposite sex and might get jealous"

I'd tone down the con a little though to not sound to cocky.

I think it would really spark some interesting conversations. I mean, think about all you could learn about the other person. What they do, do they like their boss, job, get their facebook info, then their number. I will be field testing this all week, since it happened to me personally. My boss really did ask to be my facebook friend.

strangely i came up with a new facebook related opener the other day:

Hey is it weird 4 guys to try and chat up girls on facebook?
Followed by story about someone u know, just got with his 3rd facebook gf. Emphasise strongly that he is charming in real life and met many other gfs, not a geek etc, (to avoid her thinking u have geek friends)

Followed by dhv story about a weird admirer from many years ago who randomly added u the other day. Detail the strange things this person did to try and win your love, (unsuccessfully).

I think ur openers very good, facebook is a topic girls love to talk about, as most of them dedicate a large chunk of their lives to it. Very easy non threatening, with very easy dhv additions.

Id recomend thinking up a funny story about an old semi insane admirer, or something similar.

Thanks for the input. I think it is an easy way to transition from opening, to building comfort to closing. It will be an opinion opener, but it is something sooooo many hb's are into and would love to comment about.
