Approaching from a Distance

The Scenario: I was standing outside about 10 yards from a girl, and we were both in a situation similar to waiting for a bus.

Basically I'm wondering if you're far away from a girl, and shes sort of out of the range where you would have to yell in order for you to hear her, but you're both standing still, what do you do? Do you just walk over, and hope that you don't make it awkward, or is their away to bring her closer to you?

I think in that type of situation you have to approach closer. It would be weird to yell something and not walk up to her.

You could try initiating contact from a distance by doing something silly like throwing a paper airplane at her.

approach. was there a bus shelter?? if so you could have of leaned in the conrner and opened. your fear of it being arkward was AA.

It wasn't a bus, my friend and this girl were waiting to get picked up by friends.
