This isn't a great long post with much detail, however its easy to understand so I'll keep it short and sweet.
I delevoped this simple little idea which I feel can be essential in order to make an opening succeed. My three big C's are confidence, competence and congruence.
Firslty, confidence is essential for any approach. Without confidence it is highly likely you won't succeed unless your a Brad Pitt lookalike.
However, confidence grows from competence. If you know you have a successfully proven routine or approach to women, there is no reason you should not succeed as you have the necessary material to do so. And confidence grows from competence. Confidence will only get you so far as eventually you'll fail a shit test, trip yourself up up fail to build attraction. However, competence without confidence will also fail to work as you will not appear passionate or genuine.
Finally, and I think it not given enough attention in pick up, is the importance of congruence in any pick up. Congruence is basically being fully aware and focused on the situation in hand. It also helps you control the situation. If you approach a girl and you're worried about something else, you'll probably fail. If you simply listen and focus on the girl (while remaining disinterested, of course
)you will not believe the amount of material you will get to work with(also many opportunites to neg her arise from this). All you can do is control and influence the moment you are, so pay full attention and focus on it and you will hugely increase the chances of succeeding.
To simply conclude, have confidence in your competence, and remain congruent at all times in an interaction to build attraction and comfort.
