It is not something to apologise for, you are about to enter her life and she should be thanking you. I assume that you have something to follow up after the excuse me part. If not, you need something;
"excuse me, i was wondering what you thought of.."
drop the 'excuse me', and just add hey or hello;
"hey, I was wondering what you thought of.."
As long as you are still talking to her in a calm, confident manner, the 'excuse me' is not required.

It's something I used to do every time, along with sorry. It makes you seem like you lack confidence, assume they are interested in what you have to say.
