Anything can be an opener/ice-breaker. How interesting and original that opener is can mean the difference in creating instant attraction or turnoff.

This is one that I can actually see myself using too, it's simple, original and pretty funny.

I think in London I'd get more chat back telling me it's crazy but that's easily dealt with too.
