again i'm new at this and need alittle advice on just starting a small conversation. What opening or questions have worked for ya'll? Anyone have any link or good useful tips or a good read on openers? Thanks

Whatever fits the environment you happen to find yourself in. Much more important than what you say is your demeanor and your sense of creating a fun little back and forth with the girl. A stock opener is most likely sensed as such by the girl.
