I went out for some day game today but blew it off when the weather turned to shit. Instead I moved out the city to a trendy/hipster suburb where there tends to be a lot of hot women in bars/coffee shops.

I've never really done bars during the day before and I found it hard to calibrate to the whole daytime bar vibe. Very low energy, very chilled out, mostly 2 sets in relaxed conversations.

So any advice on how to open/approach? I went for the Roosh V style "elderly approach" as he calls it (very indirect, low key) a couple of times but didn't seem to be going anywhere. A more night game direct approach just didn't feel right. It felt weird, not quite day game, not quite night game.

Your opener can be somewhat direct but should include an upfront. Use a line like,

"Hey, I saw you from over there and you looked really interesting. I wanted to say something to you... you dress funny." The girl will usually signal if she's game or not.

It might be that you're not mastering the push-pull dynamic just yet. Can you give an example of what's happening in your sets after you open?
